Birds of the Texas Panhandle by Kenneth D. Seyffert and illustrated by Carolyn Stallwitz was published by Texas A&M Press in 2001. This reference book provides the most complete information about observations of birds in the Texas Panhandle over the past 150 years and includes data from the Breeding Bird Surveys and Christmas Bird Counts.
